*Lyme arthritis is one of the diseases caused by the bacterium [[Lyme disease OR for buglist Borrelia burgdorferi or B. mayonii]] (Lyme borreliosis) which is transmitted by the bite of hard ticks, including Ixodes ricinus.
*If Lyme Disease is left untreated, the infection can spread to the joints, heart, and nervous system, causing difficult to treat complex debilitating disorders including Arthritis.
