This procedure is a part of CCI Collection via CCI Picklist.

Additional Info

• This could include any combination of whole body warming or whole body cooling. We are not coding those except as part of TTM, which we are only tracking in the setting of post-Cardiac arrest.
• If a patient receives post-arrest cooling or warming (targeted temperature management, TTM), code it. It doesn't matter for how long the cooling was applied or whether the Cardiac Arrest Cooling Protocol was followed. Usual maintenance temp is 36 degrees.

• "CCI collect each" items are entered each time they happen
• Px Date
  • if an Acquired Procedure, enter the Px Date for each day that they happen
  • if an Admit Procedure leave the date blank
• Px Count
  • if they happen more than once on a day, enter the number of times for that day, otherwise enter a Px Count of 1
