  • How do you code a generalized inflammatory response which has been called "polyarthritis or undifferentiated inflammatory syndrome or post-streptococcal reactive arthritis depending on who writes the note in the chart? There is no waste basket that I have found for something like this. --CMarks 10:37, 2018 December 12 (CST)

Allan's linksAllan how would you code a neuroendocrine tumor arising from the lung? when I search this is the code that comes up C7A. 1 - Malignant poorly differentiated neuroendocrine tumors. ICD-10-CM., we do not have this as an option, thank you.
  • AG REPLY --- indeed the C7A codes in ICD10 are malignant neuroendocrine tumors of various body parts. For OUR purposes, however, rather than include the C7A subcodes for such tumors in every body part, we should code them by LINKING our existing C7A.0 code (which is Malignant carcinoid tumor) with the code for malignancy in the body part, in this case C34 Lung and/or bronchus, primary malignancy. I've now put this in the C34 wiki page explanation
Would the code Malignant carcinoid tumor include neuroendocrine tumors in our program?
  • AG REPLY --- yes, see above
  • I have noticed that the majority of COVID Pos patients have myalgias, fatigue, or malaise. Would it be possible to have a code for these three symptoms.Gens 12:27, 2020 October 16 (CDT)gens
