- Secondary parkinsonism may be caused by health problems, including
- Brain injury
- Diffuse Lewy body disease (a type of dementia)
- Encephalitis
- HIV/AIDS
- Meningitis
- Multiple system atrophy
- Progressive supranuclear palsy
