My understanding of "direct" admissions is that they must be an inpatient on a ward or unit or an EMIP in another facility. A pt sent from one ER to another ER that was never assessed by medicine or ICU would not be a direct admission.  If they send a pt from for example, Selkirk ER, the patient would still have to be accepted by either medicine or ICU once they arrive in the accepting ER.  This would just be a standard admission (not a direct admission). --[[User:LKolesar|LKolesar]] 08:55, 2017 October 13 (CDT)
