This dataset contains data in support of the LAU Collection Project.

It is used to store data analogous to Readmission to MedWard. For the usual medicine program collection we don't need to store this explicitly because we derive it from future or past records. The sample size for LAU Collection Project is too short to do it that way reliably, so we will store the data explicitly.

Data Collection

For any record collected as part of LAU Collection Project, consider whether there is an indication of a previous admission for which this is a re-admission, or a subsequent admission that is a re-admission for this admission.
To decide if something is a re-admission, follow the criteria in Readmission to MedWard

Data Entry Instructions

The following lines will automatically be added to each new medicine record, existing records entered prior to the start date of the project will need to have these entered manually:

Project: LAU Readm - Item: "has previous" - Date/Time: that admission's dispo_dttm
Project: LAU Readm - Item: "has later" - Date/Time: that admission's service start_dttm
Checkbox, Integer, Real, Comment: not used

	If the first admission and the readmission are part of our current review?, do we still enter the tmp project? or will you connect the two admissions when analyzing the data? Lisa Kaita 19:07, 4 March 2025 (CST) I think we should, that way the stats are more straightfwd for this. But we may want to know more about what the other admission was. Do we want to have more items, such as "previous med" or "later ICU"? Readmission to MedWard says "Readmission is attributed to the site or hospital from which the patient was discharged. "; so we would not need details for the future site, but might want them for the previous, even if we only did as little as "same" and "other".
