This dataset contains data in support of the LAU Collection Project.
Home care and PCH admissions suspected to be factors in long LOS on LAUs. We need to find out the time between consult and Dispo_DtTm find out if that is so.
Data Collection
- For any record collected as part of LAU Collection Project, enter the date and time of the first Homecare consult and the first Panelling request for each admission to an LAU
Data Entry Instructions
The following lines will automatically be added to each new medicine record, existing records entered prior to the start date of the project will need to have these entered manually:
- Project: Consults - Item: "Homecare"
- Project: Consults - Item: "PCH Panel"
- Project: Consults - Item: "no consult" (cross-check item if there were no consults)
- Date/Time: dttm of the consult, or Service tmp entry DtTm if patient arrived with consult in progress
- Checkbox, Integer, Real, Comment: not used

- Lisa emailed she will follow up with Nick whether we want additional consults, and possibly for other than LAU.

Consistency Checks

- would you agree that almost every patient in this population should have such a consult? If so, it might be worth requiring an entry and making an option "no consult" available. Ttenbergen 17:28, 3 March 2025 (CST)
- I would think so, but that is part of what we are trying to find out, since we have no cross checks, we should probably require an entry Lisa Kaita 19:26, 4 March 2025 (CST)
