- While many of the patients being actively palliated are ACP-C and/or are being consulted by the Palliative Care service, neither of those things are necessary to get this code.
- Since virtually all modalities of palliation (e.g. morphine drip) are used in non-palliative situations, you need to use your expertise to decide if in this person the intent is palliative.
