Patient Viewer Tab Cognos ADT2 is a new tab in Patient Viewer. It splits the service info and unit info in Cognos EPR Report into two chronological tables to make them easy to review and enter or exclude. It's part of Cognos2

The tab has a listing for units and a listing for services. Both have clickable fields and buttons ("exclude" button, "View exclusions" button, "Make Service" button, "Make loc" button, etc).

If Service or Unit data is plain wrong, see Process for bad data in Cognos.

Top Row

The top row contains data from Cognos that is only available once per admission. Only fields for which data exists will have content, so e.g. if a pt did not come from ER that field will be empty, and if a pt has not yet left the hospital then fields on the right will be empty. The fields are not labelled because there is not much space and they are hopefully obvious if they contain data; hovering over a field will give the field name. In order from left to right, the fields in this row are:

  • Left side, things that happened before pt got here
    • Emergency Dept
    • Referring Location
  • Right side, things that happened after pt left here
    • Inpt Discharge Location
    • Inpt Discharge Disposition
    • Inpt Discharge DtTm

Service Panel (left)

This lists all service entries for this pt for the current admission. Entries that are after this profile's Accept DtTm and before the Dispo DtTm will have a green background, the rest a pink background. The pink ones should not be entered as Service tmp entry, but might help figure out what to enter for Previous Service.

The Service Start DtTm is clickable and would populate the Accept DtTm. The Service End DtTm is clickable and would populate the Dispo DtTm. Use them only if it makes sense to do so.

There is a "Make Service" button and a "View exclusions" button.

There is a Patient copier button Patient Copy button.png to create a new profile if you find that a new service entry you clicked on from CSS was really for a patient who had left and then returned, therefore needing a new profile. This way you can easily enter it from there, rather than having to exit back out to CSS and add the new pt from there with peach plus.

Unit Panel (right)

This lists all unit/ward/location entries for this pt for the current admission. Entries that are after this profile's Accept DtTm and before the Dispo DtTm will have a green background, the rest a pink background. The pink ones should not be entered as Boarding Loc, but might help figure out what to enter for Previous Location and Dispo.

The Unit Start DtTm is clickable and would populate the Arrive DtTm. The Unit End DtTm is clickable and would populate the Dispo DtTm. Use them only if it makes sense to do so.

There is a "Make loc" button and a "View exclusions" button.
