• Excludes
  • Use of a Peak Flow meter --- this isn't true PFT testing, it's just a quick and dirty assessment of obstruction with a small, plastic, handheld device
  • "Walking Oximetry" testing -- note these can be done by RTs either in the PFT lab or in a clinic, or even on a ward
  • "Six Minute Walk" testing -- note these can be done by RTs either in the PFT lab or in a clinic, or even on a ward
  • Overnight Oximetry
  • Sleep Study (Polysomnogram, done in Miseracordia Sleep lab)

• Includes:
  • PFTs done in any of the PFT labs
  • Done on the wards, using a wheeled spirometry machines (these are a metal box about 1-2 foot cubed) -- except as in the exclusions below
