  • stone (e.g. gallstone, kidney stone)
  • tooth
  • gland (e.g. parotid gland)
  • impacted stool
  • calcium deposits
  • vascular thrombus or embolism or atheroma which includes
    • endarterectomy
    • thrombectomy
    • embolectomy
    • removal of thrombus or embolism from within a blood vessel For an EVT, combine with (T) Intracranial Vessels for Cerebral infarction/stroke due to embolism

Excludes:

• Removal of cancerous or other abnormal tissue, a mass or tumor, instead use one of these (the ICD10 codes will indicate what was removed):
