We discussed whether the comorbids should just be copied with the profile at the original profile copy, but they will usually not be entered yet at that time, so it would be the wrong point in the process. We have at times thought about adding functionality to CCMBD.mdb to copy some patient information into a new record. | |||

**This may not be the case. For example a patient is admitted to Hobs with severe sepsis and unable to perform any of his ADL and has a foley in situ. His ADL would be all major assist.He is then transferred to A4 two weeks later and only requires a minimal assist with his bath, is able to be up and about on the ward independently and his foley had been removed in Hobs. **as a data collector on a very busy renal ward, with lots of diabetic dialysis patients, the most important things to copy (for me) would be the demographics (dispo page), and the comorbids. The comorbids shouldn't change much. (You may have to add more comorbids to any subseqent patient profiles, but you wouldn't really be taking any away.) My diabetic renal patients can have as many as two dozen comorbids. Also, I have the situation of multiple admits with the same patient occurring very frequently. This past Tuesday alone, I had four sets of duplicate patients. As well, when you are entering as many as two dozen comorbids on just one profile, it takes a lot longer than five minutes per profile. The patient copier button 
on Patient List or Patient Viewer Tab Cognos ADT2 creates a new profile for the same patient. It asks for the new serial number and then copies the following info:
- Pat_ID
- Last Name
- First Name
- PHIN
- DOB
- Chart
- Notes
- Province
- Sex
- R_Filter
- Postal Code
- Pre acute living situation
- any Comorbid Diagnoses
Caution
- please do a quick cross check to the EPR or paper chart when you copy to make sure we don't copy bad data; automating this will make some of the cross checks Pagasa runs less able to catch problems, so please take the extra seconds to make sure the things you are about to copy are right

Copying Comorbids from one profile to an existing profile
We can actually copy and paste Comorbid Diagnoses from one profile to an existing profile.
- Highlight the comorbid diagnoses you want to copy by clicking the box on the left of the first comorbid diagnosis (beside the small box where we check the primary diagnosis) and dragging it down to the last diagnosis you want to copy.
- Once all the Comorbids are highlighted, Copy them by pressing the Ctrl button and C on the keyboard at the same time (Ctrl+C)
- Close the profile where you copied the diagnoses.
- Go to the existing profile where you want to enter the copied diagnoses. (Please double check that you have the right patient profile)
- Click on the triangle in the box on the left of the bottom / last diagnosis line where you want the diagnoses entered.
- Paste the copied diagnoses by pressing the Ctrl button and V on the keyboard at the same time (Ctrl+V)
