Just wondering why we are not just counting the units of albumin and you want days instead? Counting days is more difficult than counting units and it would be more consistent to count the same for all transfusion items. (from Laura) |
Additional Info
- Use this code ONCE each day that any amount of albumin, of any concentration, is given. That is, for albumin we only track the number of separate DAYS it is given.
- This is different from PRBC, FFP and platelets

- "CCI collect first" items are entered the first time they happen
- Px Date
- if an Acquired Procedure, enter them with the Px Date of the first time they happen
- if an Admit Procedure leave the date blank and just enter the procedure
- Px Count is always 1 for this collection mode
