Additional Info
- When multiple organs are biopsied at one sitting, separately code each of these biopsies (e.g. liver, spleen).
- This code includes "biopsy" of fluid, except for knee taps or other joints for diagnostic purposes, instead code Arthrocentesis, diagnostic
- Similarly, it includes such a "fluid biopsy" in the setting of diagnostic peritoneal lavage; we don't code therapeutic lavage.
