*** I see you added this to HSC MICU Collection Guide, Lisa. I think it should be removed from here, not kept duplicate, so any future changes don't make it inconsistent. | *** I see you added this to HSC MICU Collection Guide, Lisa. ** I added it to HSC MICU Collection Guide because it does not apply to SICU or IICU as they do not have A,B or C attendings, I think it makes most sense to keep it here? *** This page is for information about the unit. The HSC MICU Collection Guide is for info how to collect for that unit. Right now this is in both, right? It should only be in one, and I think that's HSC MICU Collection Guide. But we may well want a link in there to that page (and a link in HSC SICU to HSC SICU Collection Guide...). If you agree I can do the edit. Ttenbergen 17:29, 2022 November 3 (CDT) | |||

Location profile
Medical Intensive Care Unit
- There is an "A', "B" and "C or outreach physician"
- The outreach physician is responsible for rounding on JJ3 patients and new consults are seen by A, B, C or housestaff depending on how busy the unit is.
- As per Bojan for those that are ECIP:
- If the patient was to be admitted to initial site ICU but there was a lack of bed capacity then I would consider that an admission that then was transferred
- however if there was no intention to admit to site unit because patient needed services at another site ICU then I would not consider them an admit
