Cross checking CCMDB data with Manitoba Health (MH)

PURPOSE of CCMDB cross check with MHSC

  • quality of consistency of patient information

Sending Process

  • Key patient identifiers from CCMDB are sent to MH to find matches on the following fields: PHIN, last name, first name, DOB and Gender.
  • Goal is to send one once per month
  • Information is sent by Pagasa to Dave Silva?
  • Data is sent in batches, one from Medicine and another from ICU.
  • Data is zipped with a password and sent by courier to MHSC.
  • MHSC send data back by courier
  • A logging system is kept of batch of files send in and returned.
