• We used to collect the initial ER Boarding Loc with the start DtTm of the of the ER as per Cognos. Our cross checks worked in this scenario:

query check_tmp_ER_Boarding_Loc_should_exist_if_from_ER requires the ER entry if prev location is ER

query check_tmp_service_or_location_duplicate doesn't allow two service lines to have same dttms

• Now we changed to using the same start dttm for the first service and the first boarding loc, even in the ER where this clearly is not true; in any case, we added a cross check to ensure this is entered correctly: query check_tmp_Boarding_Loc_Service_first_same
• This made it impossible to enter a patient who came from ER but didn't spend time there. Could not enter the date and times the same, but also could not omit the ER entry. Discussed with Julie, and we decided to update query check_tmp_service_or_location_duplicate to exclude ER
